Mexican Punched Tin Sacred Heart Alegria Mirror, Silver Colour

Lovely large mirror set in the Sacred Heart shaped frame. Handmade in Mexico in natural metal then embossed. In the style of Alegria which means happiness due to the delicate chiselled linework and floral rosettes. Although still used as an object of votive tradition, heart-shaped mirrors have now acquired a real decorative dimension for the originality of their artisanal manufacturing and their designs. Each mirror has a hook on the back for hanging using a small nail.
